Summer Interns

We are excited to announce our class of 2024 interns at Utility Global.

Ghita Sahbi is a rising senior at Vanderbilt University studying Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering. She is from Fez, Morocco, and is fluent in Arabic, French and English. Ghita is working with Jasmeer and the Process Engineering team, based in Houston. The purpose of her work is to explore ways to optimize the Utility Global H2GenTM system by analyzing the effects of varying parameters on key process performance indicators for the system. By utilizing simulation tools, she aims to identify opportunities to optimize the system under different operating conditions, and to highlight ways in which the H2Gen balance-of-plant can be optimized.
 

Andrew Hope is a rising junior at the Colorado School of Mines, studying metallurgical and material sciences.  Andrew will spend his summer working at our Advanced Technology Center, analyzing and investigating opportunities for improvement of our coatings, learning the mechanics of our industrial coating equipment and assisting in the development of our forming method for cell substrates. His efforts will expedite the research and testing of our cell technology.  Andrew is from Minneapolis, MN.

Kidest Melak is a graduate student studying Accounting at the University of Houston, working on the Finance team. She has a Bachelor's degree in Accounting with a minor in Management of Information Systems from the University of Houston. Kidest is from Ethiopia but has lived most of her life in Houston. Kidest will be managing the ERP selection process for Utility Global. In addition, Kidest will also research companies in the carbon capture space.

Silvano Torres is a native of Houston and a student at the University of Texas. He is studying Chemical Engineering with a minor in Materials Science. Silvano will be working with the Manufacturing team in Houston.  His role will be to help characterize new powder lots and help with the ceramic process data collection and storage. In addition, Silvano will help implement lean six sigma manufacturing practices to reduce costs and waste.
