Utility Global presents results from its field demonstration plant at AISTech 2024

Apr 29, 2024

Utility Global, the first to produce hydrogen directly from steel mill Blast Furnace Gas (BFG) without the use of separation methods to eliminate inerts from the feed gas, will present our proven technology at the upcoming AISTech 2024 Conference in Columbus, Ohio on May 8th.

This presentation is a follow-up to our popular presentation at AISTech 2023 on the early-stage development of the eXEROTM technology platform and the H2GenTM mode of operation. This year, we provide information pertaining to operational results under actual plant conditions, the impact of industrial feedstocks and other challenges. Data on the hydrogen produced by the H2Gen process is covered along with the relevance of utilizing H2Gen to generate clean hydrogen from BFG, in order to decarbonize integrated steel production.

This groundbreaking technology has the potential to transform the steel industry by introducing a new, cost-effective way of reducing greenhouse gas emissions and minimizing waste. The presentation, authored by Michael Iannelli, VP Business Development for Utility Global, Jasmeer Ramlal PE, Director of Process Engineering for Utility Global, and Ken Grieshaber, Steel Industry Subject Matter Expert l, shares proven results and insights on the process and benefits of generating clean hydrogen from steel off-gases, and its potential to improve sustainability and business performance.

This is an exciting opportunity to learn more about the cutting-edge technologies that are shaping the future of the steel industry and driving progress towards a more sustainable future.
